 Both the Sharpe series by Bernard Cornwall and The Lymond Chronicles by Dorothy Dunnett have small but strong followings on the meme. As does the Aubreyad. And let us not forget the Grumpy Sutcliff Nonnies.

 

Their being regularly mentioned on meme is demonstrated by this EFW comment:
